Abstract
To demonstrate the practical aspects of different numerical solution methodologies, various source codes are provided on the accompanying CD- ROM. The chapter describes the contents of the CD-ROM and the capabilities of the particular programs. The source codes are completed by a set of worked out examples including the grids, the input files, and the results. The CD-ROM also contains the source code of a visualization tool with an easy-to-use GUI. The CD-ROM is formatted according to the ISO-9660 file system with Rock Ridge and Joliet extensions. The format is fully compatible with UNIX, Linux, Windows, and the Mac OS X operating systems. The aim of the software is to demonstrate how to translate the theoretical principles of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) into a computer code. The programs should be conceived as a basis for further experimentation and enhancements. The source codes are provided under the terms of GNU General Public License, which means that they may be freely copied and re-distributed free of charge.
