Abstract
Peripheral nerve blocks are commonly performed for patients with pain syndromes. Ultrasound guidance for peripheral nerve blocks has the potential to enhance safety and accuracy of these procedures. Knowledge of anatomy, familiarity with sonoanatomy of various peripheral nerves, and practice to acquire the skills is required for effective performance of these procedures.
