Abstract
Knowledge of regional nerve blocks of the head and neck is vital for many types of physicians. The ability to quickly and easily anesthetize the head, face, and neck will not only improve anesthesia but will also aid in cosmesis and patient satisfaction by reducing pain and swelling. Appreciating the anatomy is the essential first step followed by the application of regional blocks. This chapter takes the physician, regardless of specialty, through the anatomy and application of regional nerve blocks of the head and neck.
