Abstract

The growth and metabolism of bacteria is a very complex process, which can be described by many mathematical models. The metabolic process of organism is accompanied by thermal effect, which causes changes in reaction system temperature, bacterial growth, hydrogen production capacity and enzyme activity, etc. The yield and rate of hydrogen production are used as indexes to investigate the effect of thermal effect on hydrogen production capacity of photosynthetic bacteria. The hydrogen production capacity of system with thermal effect and without thermal effect under the same conditions are compared and the effect of thermal effect on hydrogen production capacity is analyzed. The results show that suitable thermal effect was beneficial to the hydrogen production of photosynthetic bacteria.
