Abstract

In this chapter, the family of reliability systems consisting of weighted components is under investigation. More specifically, an up-to-date presentation of the well-known reliability structures with n-weighted components that have been proposed in the literature is displayed. Our interest focuses on the multistate systems and the consecutive-type ones. Several recent and fundamental results for each member of the aforementioned family are stated, while some real-life applications are also discussed.
