Abstract
This chapter illustrates about tree fractionation from old postulates to a new paradigm. Our civilization is greatly indebted to water and carbon dioxide circulation. A tree takes water from the ground while its roots grow deeper and deeper, with enviable tenacity. Its roots are as big as its crown. The crown itself collects light and carbon dioxide. Trees process water and carbon dioxide and make organic compounds with bonded carbon. The air around it is cleaner, and its shade is sweet. To watch a tree is to contemplate a project of perfect beauty. Human civilization takes immense benefits from the existence of trees.
