Abstract

This chapter introduces Laplace transform and transfer function methods of analyzing the dynamics of a system. A single degree of freedom spring-mass-dashpot system is analyzed in this chapter as an example to illustrate the use of Matlab Simulink transfer function, integration, state space, and Matlab frequency response methods.
