Abstract

In this paper, a new path-loss model for WBAN(Wireless Body Area Network) system are investigated. The proposed model has a linear term for more accurate modeling compared to that of the existing WBAN channel model. The simulation frequency is 403.5 MHz for MICS(Medical Implanted Communication Service). The numerical simulation using the Korean phantom model is performed by the commercial tool based on the FDTD(Finite Difference Time Domain) method. A proposed channel model will be very helpful to design the MICS devices. In addition, we investigated the exposure level of the human body due to WPT(Wireless Power Transmission) system for MICS devices.
