Abstract

Objective To investigate plasma C-reactive protein (CLRP),endothelin-1 (ET-1) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) levels in patients with obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS).Methods Select system by polysomnography (PSG) diagnosis and without treatment and the exclusion of other diseases,60 patients with OSAHS were recruited,50 cases of PSG monitoring to rule and the exclusion of other diseases as control group.Plasma CRP,ET-1,TNF-α levels were detected in 60 OSAHS patients as well as in 50 controls. Results Plasma CRP,ET-1 and TNF-α levels in OSAHS patients were (7.87 ± 6.56) mg/L,( 84.24 ± 23.46 ) ng/L and ( 24.83 ± 5.89 ) ng/L respectively,Compared with control group, the plasma levels of CRP,ET-1,TNF-α were significantly higher in OSAHS group (P < 0.05).Conclusion Plasma CRP,ET-1,TNF-α levels were increased in patients with OSAHS,suggesting that they were involved in the pathophysiology of OSAHS,OSAHS patients have a systemic inflam-matory. Key words: Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome; C-reactive protein; Endothelin-1; Tumor necrosis factor-α
