Abstract

Intralumbal injection of distilled water leads to an increase in the number of cells in the liquor of over 10,000:3. The liquor sugar remains wholly unaltered in spite of this enormous increase of cells even during several days. It is therefore concluded that the reduction of liquor sugar occurring in meningitis is not connected with the increase in number of cells.
