Abstract
Iskenderun Bay is situated in the Eastern Mediterranean Region of Turkey which is important area for the biodiversity Iskenderun Bay coastal zone of Turkey especially Burnaz coastal dunes are very rich biotopes Unfortunately these dunes are threatened by several land uses The aim of this study is to monitor the coastal dunes between and and prediction of potential environmental effects because of land use changes There are several methods for monitoring in this study we used biotope mapping Biotope maps were created for the two periods and the two maps were compared to determine changes in these dunes As a result of this study a few suggestions were presented on the ecological approach to maintain sustainability
