Abstract
Mothers have been highlighted as the reason for the low uptake of shared parental leave. A research survey on the factors that influence mother's decision on whether or not to take shared parental leave reveals that they are several reasons such as financial cost, breastfeeding, health, dads unwillingness to share, unawareness and lack of employer support are some of the reasons mothers may not want to share their maternity leave with their partners.
