Abstract

ABSTRACTFaculty who coordinate and administer small dance programs in colleges and universities share many challenges, successes, and frustrations. This article brings together information gleaned from energizing conversations with colleagues across the United States, focusing on issues common to small dance programs with varying degree types. Through interviews, these colleagues shared insights concerning recruiting; managing full-time, part-time, and adjunct faculty; funding and fundraising; and survival strategies.
