Abstract
Internet of Things (IoT) is the recent growing technology that has greatly influenced the Internet and communication innovations. Internet of Things simply interfaces living and nonliving things through the web. The IoT is becoming a huge trend in this era of technology and has the potential to affect the whole traditional business range. IoT based health care network systems play a fundamental role in many areas, which include monitoring aging patients with chronic ailments and other serious health issues, and also managing the health and wellbeing of individuals. This paper provides insight into how IoT has influenced and enhanced the healthcare industry. It also discusses the layered architecture of IoT and various IoT services at each layer of IoT. The paper also provides a popularity index of IoT and IoT for healthcare. The IoT healthcare system has introduced many healthcare applications that have enhanced the structural working of the healthcare industry; yet there are some challenges faced by these technologies.
