Abstract

In this paper, we consider the capability of GTE centrifugal open-type nozzles to recover combustion in the main combustion chamber at short-term fuel cutoffs into the fuel manifolds, when the anti-surge system operates, as well at actuation of “emergency brake” or the “dipping and shutdown valve”. We describe some features of the centrifugal open-type nozzles that make it possible to ensure the stable operation of the combustion chamber even at the “lean” blow-off boundary at α CC max ≤ 65. The possibility of combustion recovery without using the spark plugs after the anti-surge system actuation has been experimentally confirmed.
