Abstract

The existence of maxima of certain products of thermodynamic properties along the liquid-vapour co-existence line is brought out. These maxima occur at specific reduced temperatures independent of the nature of the liquid. The behaviour of saturatedvapour enthalpy is analyzed in detail. A relation between the temperature at which this property depicts a maximum and the molecular length parameter is derived considering over 40 crygenic liquids, hydrocarbon and refrigerants.
