Abstract
Abstract The test site was located near Westminster, Maryland. At time of treatment the oats were 15 inch high and the larval infestation and damage was heavy. Treatment plots of 10 × 10 ft were arranged in a randomized complete block design with 4 replicates. Treat-ments were applied June 6 with a "back-pack" hand held CO2 pressure sprayer calibrated to deliver 36 gpa at 30 psi. Post treatment samples were collected June 8. Number of live insects per 6 ft row was used for the evaluations.
