Abstract
Cutting efficiency and heat affected zone (HAZ) of certain fine ceramics cut with pulsed Nd:YAG laser are examined.Cutting efficiency for ceramics is compared on the same laser parameters and evaluated based on material properties. Depth of cracks and deterioration in HAZ are investigated using SEM. HAZ from laser cutting with the same laser parameters are actually different depending on the ceramic type.
