Abstract
The article discusses the increasing importance of Electronic Warfare (EW) in contemporary military operations, highlighting its historical evolution and the need for a specific doctrine for the Brazilian Armed Forces. It proposes the creation of a Center for Electronic Warfare Studies (CEGE) to train the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) in the effective use of the electromagnetic spectrum. The text addresses electronic countermeasures, such as interference and dissimulation, which are essential for ensuring operational security. Additionally, it mentions the importance of training officers and specialization in countries like France, England, and Germany. The article concludes that adopting a mindset focused on EW is crucial for dominating the electromagnetic spectrum and, consequently, for achieving victory in military operations.
