Abstract
A compacted sand and gravel fill, stabilized with cement, was used to provide an economical foundation under a portion of the outlet works conduit at Cochiti Dam in north central New Mexico. Based on results of tests a cement stabilized fill with a 28-day compressive strength of 1,000 psi was considered an adequate foundation for the conduit. The test results are presented herein.
