Abstract

Abstract This research started from the fact that humanity exploits on an industrial scale and chaotically consumes the raw materials that this planet offers, without realizing the importance of reusing waste and the possibility of introducing them in the production of plaster mortars. Thus, an attempt is made to create a balance between raw materials and the exploitation of new resources, so that future generations can have access to raw materials. Plaster mortar mixtures were made by using waste from construction sites, respectively certain percentages of the amount of cement were replaced with used paints. In order to reduce the costs of transporting and transferring waste to the landfill, most of the executors (builders) at the stage of systematization of the land, bury all the waste, not respecting the conditions given by the environmental agreement. Through a waste management, construction materials are recovered, in this case used paint and reused in the preparation of plaster mortar. Starting from a plaster mortar mixture, the cement was replaced in a percentage of 10% and 15% with used paint, resulting in significantly higher bending strengths. We must be responsible and contribute to the protection of the environment by recycling/reusing waste from construction materials.
