Abstract
In an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) based multi-cellular WiMAX system, a suitable base station is obtained by cell search. In the cell search technique, in addition to timing and frequency synchronization, the detection of the frame start position is another basic task that the mobile terminal must successfully complete before establishing a communication link with the base station. In this work, we propose a dual correlation algorithm to improve the accuracy of frame detection synchronization. In order to reduce the influence of channel fading under low SNR, we also propose a scheme for joint blind channel estimation and equalization. Compared with the existing scheme, the obtained scheme can obtain better frame detection system performance at a low signal to noise ratio.
