Abstract

Well dispersed CdCO3/carboxylated carbon nanotubes (CNTs) nanocomposites are synthesized via a facile solution method. As a novel anode material for lithium-ion batteries, the CdCO3/CNTs nanocomposites deliver an initial reversible capacity of 876mAhg−1 and a better cycle ability. The superior electrochemical performance can be attributed to its unique hierarchy architecture, which facilitate the electron transport and accommodate the large volume change during the alloying/de-alloying reactions.
