Abstract

This study aims to explore the determinants of employees’ digital literacy in the financial and non-financial sectors in Vietnam. Data for analysis were obtained from 979 respondents (272 from financial sector and 707 from non-financial sector). The results of exploratory factor analysis (EFA) show that there are 7 factors have a statistically significant impact on digital literacy. In addition, ANOVA’s analysis shows that there is a difference in digital literacy between employees in the financial sector and those in other sectors. The study also found that there is a difference in digital literacy between groups of education levels (within educational groups, respectively digital literacy decreases: doctorate, master, university, colleges and high school). Policy recommendations on comprehensive digital literacy training in the direction of a national campaign are also discussed.
