Abstract
The article shows a brief history of the development of algebra as a science and modern teaching tendencies. Algebra is an important mathematical subject in the training of future teachers of mathematics in pedagogical universities. Modern algebra studies such concepts as groups, rings, fields, algebraic structures. Using such structures, mathematics creates general rules and systems for all branches of science and life.
