Abstract
The cavitating jet is a new technology to apply a high impact pressure occuring at a collapsing period of cavitation bubbles effectively to industrial objectives. The characteristics of cavitating jets relate closely to profiles of their nozzle inner surface, while it was not yet made clear how the surface roughness of the nozzles having the same profile affects the characteristics. In the present paper, an experiment was carried out for 90°conical nozzles of an exit diameter1 . 0 mm under the nozzle pressure of 8 MPa.
