Abstract
Cavernous sinus resection for malignancy is a highly controversial item in skull base surgery. Over the 30 years during which this technique has been employed by the skull base surgery team at the UC Davis Medical Center, more than 30 resections of this area have been preformed. During this time, a considerable number of modifications both in technique and indications have been used. This report outlines our current approach as far as indication, investigation, and technique are concerned and present our results and complications.
