Abstract
The article provides a comparative analysis of the famous "Soldier's March" by Javanshir Guliyev with Turkish military music and with mehter marches that have traveled all over the world. The main goal is to dispel rumors about plagiarism of the "Soldiers' March" and clarify this issue. For this purpose, an intonation, modal analysis of the work was made, and the musical form of the march is compared with other samples of Turkish music. As an example, for comparison, the mehter marches were chosen which was written on the same words and similar in melody. As a result, it was found out that the Soldier's March is an original work and a product of the composer's creative intention. In addition, the oratorio "Nejip Fazil" is analyzed as an example of the implementation of the original author's idea, reintoning of the famous melody on a different, higher scale. Whole scenes based on the intonation of the famous march were found in this work, which are valuable for the entire Turkic world in terms of common ideas.
