Abstract
Abstract Cationic nickel(II) complexes featuring a phenalenyl (PLY)-based N,N,N-tridentate ligand were synthesized and characterized. Their structural and electronic properties were examined using electronic absorption spectroscopy, electrochemical measurements, X-ray diffraction, and theoretical calculations. Additionally, the chemical reduction and photo-induced reactivity of related complexes were investigated.
