Abstract
Neonatal bladder injury is rare and usually associated with umbilical artery catheterization. Patients may present with apparent renal failure, abdominal distension, and respiratory distress. Treatment involves operative closure of the perforation and bladder drainage. A case of Foley catheter-induced bladder rupture in a premature infant, not previously reported in the literature, is detailed.
