Abstract
The authors have performed 23 catheter ablations and one epicardial ablation in 18 patients via median thoracotomy. The overall efficiency made up 78.8% (14 patients). There arose one iatrogenic block (5,6%). One can arrive at a conclusion, that catheter ablation in children up to 5 years old is complicated, but a very effective intervention. In children with ineffective drug treatment the left-sided accessory atrioventricular pathways occur considerably less seldom than in adults.
