Abstract

Substantial progress has been made in the field of combinatorial heterogeneous catalysis in the past decade. Combinatorial heterogeneous catalysis involves the computation-assisted design of diverse, high-density assemblies or arrays of potential heterogeneous catalytic materials, and high-throughput synthesis, characterization, and screening techniques. This chapter focuses on representative high-throughput preparation, characterization, and testing workflows that have recently been developed and employed in heterogeneous catalysis. It not only provides an introduction to combinatorial heterogeneous catalysis and the recent examples, but also highlights the areas in which advances are needed in the future.
