Abstract

A novel cascaded dispersive delay structure based on a periodic glide symmetric stub-loaded microstrip transmission line is presented. Two group delay peaks are superposed to realize a group delay response that illustrates linear characteristics versus frequency. Two examples with slopes 0.83 and 2 ns/GHz, respectively, are proposed. Verified by experiments, the simulated and measured group delays show a well agreement.
