Abstract

This paper assesses the present situation in the education of draftsmen in Papua New Guinea. The importance of the employer in determining the nature of this education is balanced against manpower requirements, government policy and the aptitude of the students. The outcome of this review suggests that the education of draftsmen in Papua New Guinea is not operating at an optimum level.
