Abstract
En este artículo se mapea la presencia afro en la literatura y los estudios literarios chilenos desde mediados del siglo XIX hasta la actualidad. Se sistematizó los distintos hitos literarios que han contribuido a la delineación del campo de estudio, estableciendo vínculos entre los contextos históricos y el desarrollo del campo literario y crítico nacional. En cuatro secciones, se examina la presencia afro en la historia literaria chilena, el impacto de redes intelectuales transnacionales, la introducción de los estudios caribeños en Chile, así como autores migrantes actuales y la traducción de autores afrodescendientes.
