Abstract

Objective To explore the current situation and influencing factors of caregiver reaction of primary liver carcinoma patients. Methods From January 2016 to June 2017, we selected 220 caregivers of primary liver carcinoma patients of hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery in Tumor Hospital, Affiliated to Xinjiang Medical University, as subjects by convenience sampling. All of the patients were investigated with the Caregiver Reaction Assessment (CRA). Results The scores of four dimensions (self-esteem, health and time load, financial load, lack of family support) of CRA were (3.81±0.24), (3.62±0.12), (3.31±0.09) and (2.72±0.03). The influencing factors of self-esteem of caregivers included sexes, family monthly income and education; the influencing factors of health and time load consisted of relationship with patients, family monthly income and education; the relationship with patients, family monthly income and education were the influencing factors of lack of family support; the family monthly income and payment mode of cost were the influencing factors of financial load (P<0.05). Conclusions Clinical medical staff should strengthen the psychological assessment of caregivers and provide targeted intervention with a variety of ways.
