Abstract
Polish society is undoubtedly an aging society. Although old age and aging is a natural process affecting every living being, it also raises many questions and uncertainties. Such an element is certainly care. The main idea and goal of the research activities was to show the dilemma related to caregiving activities: career, self-realization of the individual or care for the parent? The research activities were conducted on a group of 28 students. The subjective perspective of the young individual was taken in the research. The results of the research reveal an interesting relationship that finds justification in the social formation of attitudes, upbringing (childhood) or family functioning. The dilemma, as well as the research itself, is a solid introduction to further work and analysis over the years.
