Abstract
Abstract Cardiomegaly with variations in coronary arteries has rarely been reported. We report a case of an enlarged heart noticed during routine dissection. The weight of the heart was 600 g; the length, breadth, and thickness of the heart were 15.1, 10.4, and 7.7 cm respectively. The ventricular walls and interventricular walls were thicker than normal. There was a separate ostium for the right conus branch in Valsalva’s right sinus along with a short main trunk of the left coronary artery (LCA); 2 mm and trifurcation of the LCA. It is important to report such cases, as an enlarged heart poses a risk for heart complications, and the use of advanced image diagnostic and interventional techniques is required, which demand in-depth knowledge of the typical and atypical coronary anatomy.
