Abstract
1. 1. A case of Stokes-Adams disease has been reported in which the external electric cardiac pacemaker was used with temporary resuscitation. 2. 2. Pericardial damage from use of the pacemaker was suspected during life, and pericardial and epicardial damage was found at autopsy. 3. 3. This cardiac injury may have resulted from electrical effects of the artificial pacemaker.
