Abstract
The preparation of heptafluorobutyrato complexes of zirconium from zirconium oxide chloride in both aqueous and pure acid media is described. Structures are assigned to the several products, the nature of which is sensitive to reaction conditions. Thermal analysis and IR spectroscopic data, and interpretations and assignments are presented.
