Carbon Based Energy Storage Materials

Abstract

This article includes a brief overview of the different carbon allotropes as well as carbon-based composite materials in the field of energy storage. Electrochemical energy storage generally has the lion’s share of attention whenever carbon-based materials are mentioned. This work will cover this aforementioned area but will also allude to other storage technologies that benefit from the mechanical properties of carbon materials, such as in flywheels, as well as thermal properties.
