Abstract
En diciembre de 2019, se identificó por primera vez un brote en curso de la enfermedad por coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) en Wuhan, China. El coronavirus (COVID-19) es un virus de ARN envuelto que se encuentra de manera diversa en humanos y vida silvestre. Se ha identificado un total de seis especies que causan enfermedades en los seres humanos. Se sabe que infectan los sistemas neurológico, respiratorio, entérico y hepático. Esta revisión tiene como objetivo discutir las características epidemiológicas, clínicas, diagnóstico y el manejo de los coronavirus humanos con un enfoque en el SARS CoV-2. Se empleó base de datos de Pubmed y Web of Science para la búsqueda avanzada de información científica y se seleccionaron 22 articulos de revistas sin restricción de idioma del 1 de mayo del 2020 al 31 de marzo del 2021.
