Abstract

The article presents a comparative study of the vegetation conditions (geomorphological aspects, soils) for the central area of the Republic of Moldova (RM) also called „Central Forests”. The prolonged droughts require a different way of managing both forestry and agriculture. Through this study, we aim to identify comparatively the edaphic conditions in 1985 and 2021, how they evolved over time, but also the capacity of the trees to accommodate over time. The forest soils of the Republic of Moldova have been studied less, with the exception of those in the middle of the Republic of Moldova, which also protected areas, have been more often visited with scientific research (A. Ursu 2005).
