Abstract
Abstract Documentation of industrial hygiene surveys and studies is sometimes performed by videotaping. Incorporation of the video images into digital files and performing useful operations on these digitized images is now possible using MS-DOS personal computer systems. This article evaluates the setup of such a system, describes several image enhancement operations offered by this system, and looks at different applications in which the system may be useful to the industrial hygienist.
