Abstract
Feb 4 marks World Cancer Day 2013, an annual event that aims to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage efforts in prevention, detection, and treatment. This year's theme focuses on item five of the World Cancer Declaration, adopted by the United Nations in 2011, which aspires to “dispel damaging myths and misconceptions” about the disease.
