Abstract
We outline a secret balloting system that enables voters, within a predetermined time, to cancel their votes and to redirect their support to other candidates or alternatives without jeopardizing ballot secrecy. The methods of mathematical cryptography and, more specifically, of public key cryptography play a crucial role in the design of such a balloting system.
