Abstract
Objective To observe the efficacy of canaliculotomy and lithiasis curettage for the treatment of canaliculitis with canalicular lithiasis. Methods Twenty eyes of 20 cases of canaliculitis with canalicular lithiasis from Jan.2014 to Jan.2017 were observed and analyzed retrospectvely. All cases underwent canaliculotomy and lithiasis curettage. The followed up time was 6 months. Results All cases received canaliculotomy through the lacrimal point.Many lithiasis were found and curettaged. During operation, lacrimal distension and cyst formation occurred in 7 cases. After operation, all cases recovered, there was no recurrence. Conclusion Canaliculotomy and lithiasis curettage for the treatment of canaliculitis with canalicular lithiasis is simple and effective.
