Abstract

In his article, the author examines the position of the Muslim community as a visible minority in the multicultural mosaic of modern Canada. Special attention is paid to the stages of formation of the Muslim community in Canada, its structure, as well as demographic indicators. The author convincingly reveals the multilevel structure of the community, its diverse ethnic composition. It also reveals current trends in the development of the Muslim community in Canada, the political views of its members and the attitude to Muslim values within the value structure of modern Canadian society. The author does not ignore the problems faced by Muslims in the country.
