Abstract
This chapter looks at Canada's maritime boundaries across three different maritime domains: the Northeast Pacific, the Arctic and the Northwest Atlantic. Starting in 1977, Canada attempted at solving all its maritime boundaries with its larger southern neighbour, the US, albeit not reaching a final agreement. Thus, most of Canada's maritime boundary disputes remain unresolved or are only partially resolved - especially those that involve the US. Several factors have contributed to this situation, not at least the limited urgency placed on boundary delimitation in the related maritime domains, as well as limited or small-scale resource disputes. With Denmark and France, however, the situation is rather different. This chapters looks at these different maritime boundaries, involving Canada and three other countries.
