Abstract
Economic effectiveness and social justice are key concepts in social science. They are constantly present in any country today in the programs of both governments and political parties. As our own and foreign experience shows, regardless of the discrepancy between words and actions here, no one in our time can violate the criteria of effectiveness and justice with impunity for long. Despite (and perhaps specifically because of!) such an important role in social consciousness and action, economic effectiveness and social justice and their ties are understood ambiguously and are not strictly defined. It will be necessary to begin ab ovo, with the substantive meaning of the given concepts.
